FOUND works directly with educators on over 100 school campuses to meet the basic needs of children.
What is FOUND?
Over the last ten years, FOUND has created, operated and continually improved upon our FUEL IN THE SCHOOL model. This model is designed to meet the most basic needs of school children who often go without food, proper clothing, hygiene items, and school supplies. These kids live right here in our community, often only a few blocks from us. We do this work by inviting the community in to help us meet the needs of the student where they are - in school.
Hear a need. Rally the community. Meet the need.
Teachers are on the frontlines. You’d be shocked at how many teachers provide practical things like deodorant for their students. We partner with schools so that when a student has a need, we can provide a solution. Teachers can “shop” the resources donated from the community to meet the many needs they find in the classroom.
How can you have an IMPACT?
Your support helps us bridge the gap between a student in need and that need being met - often immediately.
Financial donations are critical. They give FOUND the flexibility to respond in real time to the specific, urgent requests we receive every day. When needs can’t wait, financial support allows us to act.
You can also make a direct impact through tangible donations. Clothing, shoes, hygiene items, and snacks can be dropped off at one of our Donation Buildings located in three areas around town.

About
Catherine Shea started the work of FOUND in 2016 while volunteering at her kid’s school. She became aware of students’ needs and how teachers often give above and beyond to help support their students. There was a big gap, one Catherine Shea believed she could help fill.
In March 2021 FOUND became a nonprofit that is now serving over one hundred schools in Texas and is constantly growing! Through the Fuel in the School model, FOUND is able to connect the generosity of local communities with the needs that arise in public schools.
