Tyler Bains, MBA

Board President

Tyler Bains serves as Board President of The Found Mission, where he is committed to helping ensure that students across the South Plains have access to the basic resources they need to succeed both in and out of the classroom.

As a father of three and a longtime member of the Lubbock community, Tyler is passionate about ensuring local students have access to the support they need to learn, grow, and thrive. His connection to education, healthcare, and community service has given him a firsthand understanding of the challenges many families face and the impact that caring communities can make.

Tyler holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). His professional background spans healthcare, higher education, business development, nonprofit leadership, and entrepreneurship. Over the past 15 years, he has served as a paramedic, educator, healthcare leader, business owner, and sales executive, helping organizations grow while developing programs and partnerships that create meaningful impact.

As Board President, Tyler works alongside fellow board members, staff, volunteers, donors, and community partners to advance The Found Mission’s work and expand its reach. He is passionate about building sustainable partnerships, increasing community engagement, and ensuring the organization remains focused on meeting the needs of students through programs that provide school supplies, hygiene products, clothing, food assistance, and other essential resources.

Tyler believes that when students' basic needs are met, they are better equipped to focus on learning, build confidence, and reach their full potential. He is honored to serve an organization that is dedicated to creating opportunities and hope for children and families throughout the community.

Dr. Shelly Bratcher

Dr. Shelly Bratcher is a speaker, author, executive coach, and leadership consultant with more than 30 years of experience in education and leadership development. After serving as a principal, coordinator, and Director of Specialized Instruction for Lubbock ISD, she retired from public education to invest in leaders through Waymaker Leadership Development and as an adjunct professor at Lubbock Christian University. Shelly holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas Tech University and is a certified Results Coach. She is passionate about helping people discover their purpose, develop strong leadership, and create lasting impact in their communities.

Carrie Culpepper

Carrie Culpepper serves as Senior Managing Director and Chief Nursing Officer for the Department of Strategic Initiatives at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.  A nurse practitioner and healthcare leader, she is passionate about improving the health and well-being of individuals and communities through collaboration, innovation, and service.  Throughout her career, Carrie has been especially committed to advancing rural health initiatives and expanding access to quality healthcare for underserved populations and those facing barriers to care.

A native Texan, Carrie and her husband, Kent, a local public-school administrator, have called Lubbock home for more than seven years.  Carrie and Kent have two children, one attending Texas A&M University, and another attending high school.

Carrie has served in a variety of leadership roles within her church and local community organizations.  She is honored to support the mission of Found and believes in the power of compassionate service and strong community partnerships to make a lasting difference in families and communities. 

Latoya Jackson

Latoya Jackson is a dedicated educational leader with more than 17 years of experience serving students, families, and schools across West Texas. As a school principal and former instructional coach, director of operations, and classroom teacher, she has devoted her career to helping young people reach their full potential while building strong partnerships between schools and communities. 

Latoya holds two master's degrees from Wayland Baptist University and a bachelor's degree from Texas Tech University. Her professional experience spans instructional leadership, family engagement, strategic planning, staff development, and school operations. 

As a member of The Found Mission Board of Directors, Latoya brings a passion for educational equity and student success. Her firsthand experience working with children and families provides valuable insight into the challenges many students face and reinforces her commitment to ensuring every child has access to the support, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive.

Claudia Martinez

Claudia Martinez is the proud owner of the Claudia Martinez Farmers Insurance Agency, where she is dedicated to helping individuals, families, and businesses protect what matters most. With more than 15 years of experience in the retail industry, Claudia developed a strong foundation in customer service, leadership, and building meaningful relationships within her community.

Raised in a hardworking family that often struggled to meet basic needs, Claudia understands firsthand the importance of financial security, preparation, and resilience. Her journey from humble beginnings to business ownership is a testament to her determination, perseverance, and commitment to creating a better future for herself and those around her.

Today, Claudia combines her professional expertise with her personal experiences to provide compassionate guidance and trusted insurance solutions. She is passionate about educating clients, empowering families to make informed decisions, and helping people protect the lives they have worked so hard to build.

As a business owner, community advocate, and role model, Claudia continues to inspire others by demonstrating that with hard work, dedication, and faith in yourself, it is possible to overcome obstacles and achieve your goals.

Cory OGuinn

Cory O’Guinn was born and raised in Lubbock. He currently is on staff at Calvary Baptist Church where he serves as the pastor of missions. He has served Calvary for the past 25 years. Joining the work of FOUND was a natural transition. FOUND has a passion for meeting the needs of children and the people that serve them. God loves children and calls them to Himself. Cory believes we are all called to meet their needs as God gives us opportunity and provision.

Jenn Phillips

Laura Beth Pleasant

Laura Beth Pleasant is an attorney, educator, and business owner in Lubbock, Texas. She earned both her Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education and her Juris Doctorate from Texas Tech University. Laura Beth serves full-time as an Associate Professor of Practice at Texas Tech University’s Rawls College of Business, where she teaches business law and enjoys helping prepare the next generation of business professionals. And, since she is a Professor of Practice she continues to practice law as the owner of Pleasant Law Firm, where she focuses on estate planning, probate, business law, and guardianship matters.

Originally from Willis, Texas, Laura Beth was raised on a small farm before moving to Lubbock to attend Texas Tech. She is passionate about serving others through both her profession and her community involvement. Laura Beth and her husband, Brian, are proud parents of two children, Jaxon and Breklyn, and are active in the Lubbock community as the new owners of Play Street Museum.

Dan Seay

Dan grew up in the Ruidoso/Capitan area of New Mexico and later attended West Texas State University (now WTAMU), where he played soccer and studied Education. After college, he worked with the National Federation of Independent Business before transitioning into the residential roofing industry in Amarillo. He eventually moved to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area to start his own roofing company, which he ran successfully for several years.

In 2004, he and his family moved to Lubbock so he could help his father with his new body shop. He had the privilege of working alongside his parents for 16 years until their retirement. Today, he is the proud owner of Hub City Body Shop, which he operates with his son, sister, and cousin.

Outside of work, he is a proud husband to his wife, Misty, and father to his two sons, Jacob and Joshua.

Leonard Williams

Leonard Williams serves as the Operating Partner of Mulkey Hospitality Inc., which operates three Chick-fil-A Franchises in Lubbock, Texas. In addition to his role as Operating Partner, Leonard serves as the Chief Operations and People Officer. Leonard has worked for Chick-fil-A for eighteen years and has served in many roles and leadership capacities. He has a passion for growing, developing, and coaching leaders.

Leonard is a true servant leader and is always involved in serving his community and church. As a member of Hillside Christian Church, Leonard serves faithfully as a guest services volunteer, as well as leads High School and College small groups. In the community, Leonard serves on numerous advisory boards and committees throughout the city and multiple school districts in Lubbock, Texas. He has been a huge advocate for leadership development amongst high school students and has launched leadership programs in eight high schools in Lubbock, Frenship, and Idalou.

Leonard has facilitated workshops for a variety of local and regional organizations, covering topics such as customer service, leadership development, talent acquisition and retention, and servant leadership.He has partnered with companies like Keller Williams, Caprock Home Health Services, Plains Cotton Co-op, Lubbock and Frenship ISD, and TEPSA. Additionally, Leonard has served as a keynote speaker at leadership conferences in Lubbock, Texas, and at internal conferences at the Chick-fil-A home office.

Leonard is originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, but relocated to Dallas, Texas, following Hurricane Katrina. In 2010, Leonard moved to Lubbock, Texas to attend Texas Tech University and earn a bachelor’s degree in History. Leonard met his wife Ashley while they were both in college and working for Chick-fil-A. They have been married for eleven years and have four children, Leonard, Braylie, Brooklyn and Bria.
